Vario UK Northern Event June 2007   The Vario UK Northern Event held at Skelmersdale MAC on Sunday 3rd June 2007, this event saw the first public flight of the Mk2 Chinook mechanics.   At that time I was still putting the Helitronix Multi-Mixer through it's testing phase and it was setup with 100% elevator and 0% DCP (Differential Collective Pitch), not an ideal setup for a tandem rotor helicopter.   Despite the this and the wind it looks surprisingly stable in the hover.  

First test flights with fuselage   Installing the mechanics into the fuselage could not be put off any more and on 7th July 2007 the complete assembly took to the air for the first ever time.  As expected heat build up within the fuselage was a problem without any forced cooling so only short flights could be made.
