In this section the design/manufacture and setup of a large scale Chinook based upon the Vario fuselage for which no mechanics are avialable is detailed.   Two versions have been made since 2005, the original Mk1 version made in aluminum took to the air in November 2005 and proved the design concept, the current Mk2 version made extensively of carbon fibre and glass filled nylon is much lighter and has now got many hours of flying time logged, both versions are powered by Zenoah petrol engines.
